We are excited to announce that Emily Kenward has joined Jabi Consulting as a Junior Associate. Emily is passionate about climate-sensitive conflict resolution policy and expanding leadership opportunities for women in international development and peacebuilding spaces. She previously contributed to water diplomacy efforts between Israel, the Palestinian Territories and Jordan through EcoPeace Middle East, as well as led dialogue initiatives for Israeli and Palestinian youth through Hands of Peace. Her academic and professional work highlights the importance of integrating climate considerations into peacebuilding efforts in the MENA region to promote resilience in affected communities and ecosystems.
Emily graduated with honors from Tulane University with a B.S. in Environmental Biology and a B.A. in Political Science: International Relations. She also possesses an M.A. in Conflict Resolution and Mediation with high academic achievement from Tel Aviv University, and is a certified mediator through the Bosserman Center for Conflict Resolution under the auspices of the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). Through UNITAR, she was selected as a Global Diplomacy Initiative (GDI) Research Fellow, where she worked closely with emerging leaders and UN officials to further explore the climate-conflict-gender nexus and the prospects of environmental peacebuilding.
Emily is attending UN-mandated University for Peace in the fall, where she will be studying for a master’s in Environment, Development and Peace with a specialization in Environmental Security and Governance.
